"Tala" (Female)

Hold onto your hearts - Tala has arrived! If you are a fan of the typical smarts, energy, and instincts of the BC, you are gonna LOVE this little go-getter. Tala is a 6 month old (as of late August) smooth coat, classically marked girl from an Idaho shelter, and is as precocious as they come! Eager to learn, movement focused, and confident as the day is long, Tala is definitely a little pistol!

It should come as no surprise that she is already up for any adventure you can think of - swimming pools included, as you can see!! The more action, the better. She's supersocial, really loves attention from people, and will jump straight up and down in the air as high as she can when she sees you! She's quite the cuddle monster, too. Tala also loves other dogs, especially playful ones, and will wrestle and play chase as long as the other dog is up for it! Tala is already quite an accomplished fetcher, and as if you hadn't guessed already, she is quite a herdy girl. Tala will definitely need someone willing and experienced in working with a high-energy, high-drive dog , and we think she’d excel at doggie sports, especially one that would put her fetching abilities to good use. Until she learns what is and isn't appropriate to "herd", Tala is probably not the best choice for a home with small kids, but is fine with other dogs and dog savvy cats.

It should also come as no surprise that Tala is bright and eager to learn!! She is already cratetrained, completely housetrained, and has a great recall. She is learning to find her "off" switch in her foster home, as well as working on the other basics. Tala will thrive with an adopter who’s up to the task of teaching her all the things she will need to know to be an enjoyable companion, who will set consistent boundaries for her, and who will help direct her instincts & energy into good and safe outlets.

Tala will do best in a home with herding breed experience that has the time and energy to raise a fearless livewire of a puppy!! If you love the type overflowing with zest for life, talent, and who will bound from bed every morning (probably bright and early!) excited to start a new day of adventures - Tala may be the girl for you!!

Tala is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations and living in a loving home near Fort Collins, CO.
