Success Stories

"Maggi" -- adopted February 2010

Meet marvelous Maggi! We just can’t say enough good things about this little red and white girl. She’s a fun-loving, glass half full kind of gal – and as you’ve probably noticed, she’s completely adorable too!!! Maggi recently came to WBCR with her mother, both surrendered by a family who primarily left them in the backyard…without proper exercise or attention, the pair took to renovating the landscaping as their new occupation! Maggi was a little shy at first upon arriving in foster care, but did her best to roll with the punches and quickly fit herself into life in a new place and with new foster siblings – both canine and feline!

It hasn’t taken long for Maggi’s sunny personality to shine through, either. Although it takes her a bit to warm up to new people, it’s clear Mags enjoys both humane and canine company – not to mention yellow fuzzy balls! Yes, she’s a bit of a fetchaholic, and if there’s a ball somewhere to be found, you will have it in your lap sooner rather than later - and one perky-eared little redhead staring at you expectantly! Besides being a perfect candidate for ball-throwing humans, Maggi also has potential to be a great hiking and outdoor adventure partner. She’s a moderate energy girl with an off-switch; after a good amount of exercise she is quite content to lay at your feet. Maggi has never been ‘home alone’ in her life, having lived with her mother since birth in her former home, so will do best in a home with another friendly dog or a human home to share her company with.

At 3 years old, Maggi is done with all that puppy stuff and teenage rambunctiousness and is just entering the “perfect” BC years – her character is developed and her wits collected. She’s housetrained, cratetrained, and knows a few of the basics. A little brush up on manners and a refresher in the basics will both build her confidence and perfect her recall and other finer points, and if you have a bit of time and energy to devote to this, it shouldn’t be long before Miss Maggi is a 100% all round well-behaved charmer. You would be hard pressed to find a more agreeable redheaded lass in all of BC-dom. This little catch is really well-rounded and we think she’s suitable to many different types of homes. If you are looking for a sweet, happy-go-lucky young lady to brighten your life, you can stop looking right now. Maggi’s the girl for you!

Maggi will be spayed & fully vetted by early February, and is living in a loving home near Fort Collins, CO.
