"Bryn" -- adopted February 2010

Look out! Cuddlebug alert!! If you love the super affectionate BC, you are in for a treat. Bryn is our newest people-loving gal. She thrives on attention, and if you have the time, she has the tummy!

This lil darlin’ came to WBCR from a Utah shelter. Her past is unknown, but whatever it involved certainly has not soured this girl's love of people! While Bryn is not gushingly over-the-top when meeting strangers (although she certainly is polite), once she knows you she is putty in your hands. She will try to wiggle in under your arm when you are sitting, or poke her little head through while you are reading the paper – tail wagging all the time. Bryn is going to attach very strongly to her people….she is also going to prove a world class snuggler, and at just 36 pounds, this classically marked 3 year old purebred is oh-so-squeezable and practically lap dog sized!

If she can’t be basking in human attention, Bryn’s second favorite activity is “herding” the other dogs in her foster home…although she’s good with other dogs for the most part, she certainly doesn’t play with them interactively. Instead, she becomes very focused on their movement…will dart in and nip at their ankles when they are moving quickly…if she is inside and the other dogs outside, she will run along the windows and stalk them. She will even forego dinner to attend to her self-imposed duties! Although she is very focused on this type of movement, Bryn does not show much interest in toys or fetching. As for cats, well, she shows a little too much interest in them, so a cat-free home would be best for her. We think she will shape up to be a moderate-energy level girl.

Her desire to be with people means Bryn is going to be a real pleasure to train…although she already has a lot of the basics down! Bryn is housetrained, cratetrained, and can sit…with a little more work on manners she should be a lovely and polite canine companion.

Bryn is a wonderfully loving BC who is sure to bring years of devoted friendship to some lucky adopter. Bryn will be happiest in a home that, of course, will lavish heaps of attention on her; given her attention-seeking personality, she would likely do best in a home as an only dog or with just one other dog. If you are looking for a supersnuggly little BC princess, Bryn may be the one for you!
