*** NOTE: Because WBCR is a small organization with few volunteers, we only adopt to families in WY and immediately surrounding states.
The first step is to get in touch with Wyoming Border Collie Rescue; contact by e-mail usually brings the fastest results. Be aware that WBCR is primarily concerned with matching appropriate homes to individual dogs in our program, so we will first ask you to fill out an adoption application. This process helps us make sure that your new family member will meet your expectations as closely as possible. Although we will work to keep this site up to date, we do not make any guarantees that any dog listed on this site is still available for adoption. Even if the dog you wanted is no longer available, please complete an adoption application because we get in new dogs all the time.
Once your adoption application has been completed and returned to WBCR, you will be contacted by a WBCR representative, and a home visit will be set up. Once the reference checks and home visit are complete and all is well, arrangements to either pick up or transport the dog to you can be made! Again, please be patient with this process - it doesn't happen overnight, but we will make every attempt to get the process completed as quickly as possible!
